SENIOR SHOW

Welcome to a closer look at our exhibition, featuring the final thesis projects of the 22 seniors graduating from Ringling College in Graphic Design and Business of Art and Design. This showcase is a reflection of the students’ passion and skills that they have acquired during their four years in college. In this newspaper, you’ll discover a detailed description of each student’s thesis, background, inspirations, goals, and dreams.

MY THESIS PROJECT

In all of its vastness, the world of art and design parallels a composition that is ever shifting and unceasingly expansive. In this delineation, you can find me wandering along the margins looking in. Change is a certainty I have become accustomed to, and a tenet I venture towards with faith. As an observer, a curious learner and student of the world, I have found my place in the ill-defined spaces between art, business, and history. This thesis project is an extension of myself and a glimpse of the footprint I plan to leave behind. In this project, the role of the curator is explored in three different types of exhibitions referenced as “Case Studies.” Through the synergy of artistic skills, curatorial roles,  and business strategies, the final outcomes of each case study were met with a physical exhibition space to showcase the deliverables. The overarching thematic approach weaved throughout my entire body of work is to highlight the importance of curation in any space, while underscoring the interdisciplinary and multifaceted role of the artist.
